THEY MET
ON THE
LOVE BOAT
All Aboard for Love
Do you ever watch old episodes of "The Love Boat" and find yourself wishing that you, too, could find love on the high seas? Well, that’s exactly what happened to Parker Fairchild and her future husband Jason.
They met on the "Star Princess," which is a Princess Cruises cruise ship, when it was anchored in Maui on a Hawaiian cruise. Specifically, they met on the tender, which would take them from the "Star Princess" to the Maui port town of Lahaina.
They were each on a family cruise; Parker, an only child, was cruising with her parents, and Jason, along with his brother and his wife, were taking their parents on a 50th wedding anniversary cruise. (Story continued below.)
IS THIS SEAT TAKEN?
Parker's mom asked Jason as they searched for a seat on the tender for the sail into port.

“No,” Jason said.

So, Parker and her mom sat down next to Jason.
Jason extended his hand and said: “Hi, I’m Jason.”
Parker returned his handshake and said: “Hi, I’m Parker.”

And as Parker’s mom is fond of saying: “And they haven’t stopped talking since!”

WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE A DRINK LATER?
Their flirtations continued up until Tender #16 made landfall in Maui.

They said their goodbyes, and Jason watched Parker walk away down the long dock towards her waiting tour bus.

At the end of the dock, she turned around and ran back towards Jason.

"Would you like to have a drink later?" she asked. "That'd be great," he said.

I THINK YOU KILLED THAT OCTOPUS
The two made plans to meet later that evening in the Explorer's Lounge aboard ship.
Neither thought they'd see each other until then as they were in two different tour groups headed towards the Maui Ocean Center.
Once there, Jason abandoned his family and searched for Parker's tour group.
He found her just as she took a flash photo of an endangered octopus right below a sign that said: "Don't take flash photos of the endangered octopus."
Jason seized the moment and commented: "I think you killed that octopus."
A romance bloomed, and an octopus was saved.

RUNWAY AT SEA FASHION SHOW
For the rest of the cruise, Parker, Jason, their families and friends had a great time together in Hawaii and aboard ship.

One of the fun things Parker was able to do was to participate in a Hawaiian fashion show aboard ship.

THAT WAS A YES
They met on April 25th, and on December 25th, Jason popped the question. "I love you Parker. Will you marry me?"
Several hugs and kisses later, Jason had to ask her: "Is that a yes?"
Parker laughed, and kissing him some more, said: "Yes, that was a 'yes'!"
